People seem to be concerned with several issues in terms of graphics as far as I've seen, so I will try and address each one as I see fit:

1Age:

If people would only take the time to suspend their skepticism they might change their mindsForget the graphics for a moment, new players and naysayersInstead, take the opportunity (the best one is coming up, with open beta) to focus on the gameplay mechanicsThat's the most important issue to start withIf the gameplay isn't fun, than the world is nothingAs you play the game, you will begin to notice how much the style of the game adds to your experienceIt's almost an afterthought while playing, but if you have a moment, look around, then try and tell me that artistic style around you doesn't add to the game.
